Halloween, like most everything since March 2020, will be different this year. A dedicated team of neighbors and friends have worked with the LEPC (Local Emergency Planning Council) and the Carlisle Board of Health to map out a safer Halloween for this year. Please find the Massachusetts state guidelines for Halloween here, Halloween Guidance During COVID-19. It is essential for our town and our schools that every participant take every precaution and observe COVID-19 safety measures.
This year Halloween trick or treating in Carlisle will be in designated neighborhoods to keep us all healthy – an old-fashioned holiday where trick or treaters go from house to house. Since Halloween falls on a Saturday, the participating neighborhoods are organizing trick or treating that will begin at 3 pm and end at 6pm. Homes that are participating will have candy available at the end of their driveway or sidewalk. There will be no trick or treating after 6pm this year. Click on the to Sign Up Genius logo above to sign up for one neighborhood to trick or treat, and please spend no more than 90 minutes there in order to adhere to state COVID guidelines about large gatherings.
While it is fun to be able to see our friends and neighbors out trick or treating, it is essential that we remember to observe COVID-19 safety protocols. We all share responsibility for making sure that Halloween is safe for everyone.

We will still need LOTS of candy donations from Carlisle residents! Please bring your commercially sealed bags of candy to the following locations by October 25. We will distribute the donated candy to the neighborhoods who have generously agreed to host trick or treaters on Halloween.
- Town Hall
- Town Meeting on October 17
- Swap Meet on October 24
- To the home of any Neighborhood Captain as listed on the Sign Up Genius
Please know that this event still falls under the state opening guidelines, mass.gov/info-details/reopening-massachusetts. If the state makes a change in its guidelines or the Carlisle Board of Health feels the risk is too high to hold Halloween in Carlisle, all trick or treating will be cancelled, we will notify The Mosquito and post it on our website immediately.Visit this website prior to leaving for your chosen Trick or Treating neighborhood.
