Fun projects for one or for a group!
How can we do a group project while we're all apart from one another? Good question. It takes a little more effort and creativity, but you don't have to be together to do a group project. Of course a household could do a group project. We're thinking this might be an opportunity for scouting groups, church groups or community groups to take on.
It's helpful if the group has a designated coordinator, like a troupe leader to oversee the project. S/he can break the project down into elements that each participant can do at home and then drop off at a central location. Then a volunteer from the group can collect the pieces and assemble them in place.
Every caution should be used to assure strict social distancing, remaining 6 feet apart if you meet others from the group. Similarly, items left to be collected should not be left in plastic bags as the virus remains on non-pores surfaces longer. Items should be left for three days prior to them being collected. And/or items that can be wiped down with soapy water should be washed immediately. Anyone collecting and/or assembling items should immediately use hand sanitizer and wash their hands with soapy water for 20 seconds or longer when they return home.
