There is plenty to do around the yard this time of year. Many Carlisle residents, who live alone or whose family members cannot visit due to social distancing, cannot tend to all the needs of their yards. Volunteers can help by weeding a garden bed or two, planting bulbs or seeds, raking leaves or even mowing the lawn.
Simply call your neighbor and ask if they would like you or your family to help with the yard. Minors should not contact a neighbor to help unless guided by a parent or guardian, as is is imperative that all social distancing and hygiene protocols are followed carefully.
Protocols are not limited to:
Wear garden, not latex gloves at all times
Do not touch face while wearing gloves
Wear face covering at all times
Stay at least 6 feet from the home owner/resident
Do not enter the residence, only enter garage or shed to obtain garden tools if necessary
Only share yard work with members of your own household
Use hand sanitizer when you remove garden gloves
Properly dispose of/store garden gloves and face covering
Wash hands with soapy water for at least 20 seconds when you return home
